Russian President Vladimir Putin said that all officials in the country should drive Russian-made cars.
This statement was made by the head of the Russian state on August 3 at a meeting on industrial development.

What did Putin say
Putin said that the ministries, departments and the President’s Administration have asked him to continue purchasing foreign cars.
I said that this should be absolutely excluded and all officials of the country should drive domestic cars, – said the President of the Russian Federation.
He noted that somewhere it will be more modest than before, but that’s okay.
On the contrary, even well – added the head of the Russian state.
According to him, “all this is our wonderful bureaucracy” should understand that it is necessary to develop Russian brands of cars and other products.
And improving the quality of life should be aimed primarily at this, – Putin emphasized.
Recall that on July 11, the head of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation, Anton Siluanov, speaking in the State Duma, said that his department was ready to purchase Russian-made cars for its needs.
After that, the chairman of the State Duma, Vyacheslav Volodin, called on the deputies to transfer to domestic cars.
