Just fifteen minutes of moderate exercise a day can add three years to your life.
Exercise fifteen minutes a day, you will extend your life by three years!
This is claimed by scientists from Taiwan, who prepared an extensive study. Its leader, Chi Pang Wen, says that fifteen minutes of exercise, such as brisk walking, is beneficial for everyone.
“Whether for men, women, young or old, smokers, healthy and sick people. Doctors, no matter what kind of patient they have, this is the advice they can give to everyone,” Pang Wen said.
Wen and his colleagues, who developed the study, based their research on more than 416,000 participants over a period of thirteen years. They analyzed their health status and level of physical activity during the year.
After taking into account different age, weight and gender, as well as indicators related to the health of individuals, they drew an overall conclusion – fifteen minutes of movement a day can extend life by up to three years. “At the beginning there are fifteen to spend… and at the end there are benefits that last a really long time,” said the head of the study.
Daily exercise is also associated with a reduced risk of cancer and a reduction in cancer deaths by one in ten. “Sooner or later, we all die one day. But compared to a group of people who don’t exercise, those who do a little exercise are at a lower risk of early death,” Wen said.
