Recently it became known about a whole series of powerful explosions that thundered in Kyiv last night.
According to the townspeople, the city literally shuddered for ten minutes. They talk about at least four explosions.
The information was confirmed by Mayor Vitali Klitschko and representatives of the capital’s military administration.
At 02:51 (time coincides with Belarusian) the first explosion was heard. Then within 10 minutes three more, one of them was very powerful, – TASS quotes one of the eyewitnesses.
Local authorities informed that air defense systems were operating in Kyiv last night.
Air raid sirens sounded in the city for more than an hour. Also, an air alert was announced in a number of other cities and regions of Ukraine.
According to Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko, explosions took place in Goloseevsky, Svyatoshinsky and Solomensky districts of the capital.
He noted that none of the local residents were injured, but the buildings were damaged, a fire broke out.
In turn, the head of the city military administration, Sergei Popko, added that non-residential premises were damaged as a result of the explosions.
Kyiv authorities claim that the capital of Ukraine was attacked by more than a dozen drones. All UAVs, according to them, were shot down by air defense systems.
