1. Moonlight and starlight
Pastel colors are relevant this year, especially powder pink. Choose one color range for the Christmas tree bouquet, and to achieve a glitter effect, the decorations should include Christmas ornaments with gold or silver glitter. It is recommended that mantins have unusual shapes and textures, but Baiba’s personal recommendation is not to use more than three different shapes.
Strings of lights will certainly give the Christmas tree a starry glow. The decorator recommends placing them closer to the spruce trunk to create a glow effect and the lamp wires are not so conspicuously visible on the spruce branches.
2. Natural materials – forest products
The second trend is natural materials, which will give the Christmas tree ornament an aura of authenticity and tradition. Baiba recommends choosing clothes made of natural materials, such as wood, with a rough texture and an earthy range of colors.
As a rule, such a Christmas tree will fit various Christmas tree decorations with the theme of forest animals. The decorator advises not to overdo the variety in terms of colors and textures and to choose, for example, three colors, taking into account the color of the fir tree itself.
3. The splendor of Gatsby
Gatsby, the character created by Francis Scott Fitzgerald, hosted the most glamorous parties, where there was no shortage of champagne, or gorgeous costumes and decor. This is also the way to decorate the Christmas tree in this style. The main colors will be gold with black. The most important thing is that the Christmas tree looks luxurious. Baiba recommends placing the clothes very close to each other and essentially “covering” the tree with them.
The decorator points out that you can make strings of lights for such a tree by twisting together two strings of lights of different sizes so that the lights are close to each other and create a brighter glow effect.
4. Classic American Christmas
This trend includes the classic array of Christmas colors and stuff we’re used to seeing in American movies. The main colors here are green, red and white. Baiba also points out that she believes this is the only style that allows strings of colored lights.
