The important alkali-acid balance. Ways to regulate it


The balance of acids and alkalis in the body is an indicator of health. The body of a healthy person consists of approximately 20% acids and 80% alkalis.

Unfortunately, by consuming a large amount of animal fats, sweets, alcohol, coffee and nicotine, along with frequent stress, this balance is disrupted and the body becomes too acidic.

The acidic products of the metabolic process are not completely removed from the tissues, they remain in the form of salts in the intercellular fluid and eventually become triggers of various diseases.

By the way, the oft-mentioned cellulite, against which women fight so energetically, is nothing but the consequence of acid-alkaline imbalance in the body. You can restore this balance and thus protect yourself from all kinds of ailments by following a proper diet and performing special cleansing procedures.

Outwardly
Alkaline baths

* A bath with added alkaline salt (for example, sodium bicarbonate) helps the body to get rid of excess acids, to naturally remove accumulated impurities and to restore the skin’s elasticity.

Duration of the procedure – 15 minutes.

Sauna
* Dry heat plus splashing with cold water stimulates the elimination of waste from the body. The body’s purification process is enhanced due to the intensive blood circulation.

Aquatic applications
* Dilute one cup of water plant powder in lukewarm water, add a teaspoon of sodium bicarbonate and mix thoroughly. The resulting slurry is applied to the hips and thighs, wrapped with a pre-warmed towel and a warm robe is put on. After 30 minutes, rinse off in the shower. By repeating the procedure regularly once a week, the body gradually rids the tissues of excess acids.

Orally
Alkaline diet

* Leafy salads, sprouted grains, practically all vegetables, potatoes, dried fruits, nuts, almonds, still water should be included in the menu more often, because all these products contribute to the restoration of the acid-alkaline balance. Potatoes and alkaline drinks such as whey, green tea, and alkaline mineral water are especially recommended.

However, you should not get carried away with products that increase the amount of acid. These products include meat and fish, products made from white flour, coffee, black tea, lemonades that contain sugar, pastries. By the way, not everything that tastes sour turns into acids in the body. For example, when a sour apple is digested, mainly alkaline compounds are formed.
