Scientists from the UK, along with colleagues from the University of Otago in New Zealand, have presented the world’s first device that will help you lose weight.

It is known that the device was called DentalSlim. It is installed on the molars thanks to a special cement.
Despite the foreign object, it does not restrict breathing or speech in any way. However, this device is able to keep people on a liquid diet.
A study was conducted in order to prove the effectiveness of this device. It was attended by volunteers who wore the device for two weeks. They were on a liquid diet that gave them 1,200 kcal of energy per day.
In this case, the average weight loss was 6.36 kilograms.
By the way, the jaw fixation device has become a less dangerous and more humane way to help lose weight. Doctors aspired to this even in the 1980s. However, then doctors closed the jaws of people surgically, which often became the cause of suffocation in the event of vomiting.
