First of all, you need to collect fresh nettles, just make sure before reading them that they are organically grown and free of pests. The nettles must be dried. You can tie them in bunches and hang them on the sunny side of the window or pick their leaves and put them in the oven at a very low temperature.
When the nettles are dried, their leaves are ground into a very fine powder. Then sift the crushed leaves through a sieve so that the latte does not turn out too grainy. Nettle leaf powder is placed in a clean jar with a closable lid (this way it can be stored for up to a year).
Ingredients (1 serving):
- 1 tablespoon of nettle powder;
- a glass of milk;
- 1/2 tablespoon of coconut oil;
- a teaspoon of honey.
Preparation:
Pour milk into the pot. Nettle leaf powder, coconut oil and honey are added to it. Any other sweetener can be used instead of honey.
Put the pot on the stove to boil. While boiling, stir the drink with a spoon all the time until it starts to boil. Then take the pot off the stove.
The drink is poured into a blender and blended so that it gets the consistency required for a latte.
Pour the latte into a cup and you can use a little nettle powder or cinnamon for decoration. Enjoy your meal!
