A recipe for making tortillas at home

Tortillas can be used simply as a snack, they can be made into wraps by wrapping vegetables, meat and cheese in the tortillas. Tortillas can also be used as bases for quick pizzas. First, let’s make the tortillas themselves.

  • Wheat flour: 140 g
  • Water: 85 g
  • Oil: 20 g
  • Salt: 2 g

Mix flour, salt, water and oil in a bowl.

Knead the dough for several minutes until a homogeneous, elastic dough is formed.

The dough is left to rest for half an hour. Then cut into small pieces.

Roll out each piece thinly and place on a hot, dry pan.

Fry on one side, then turn over and fry on the other side.

If the baked tortillas are placed hot in a covered container, they will remain soft and can be rolled or folded.
