The Japanese government, as part of another anti-Russian package of sanctions, has imposed a ban on the supply of certain cars to the Russian Federation.
In particular, from now on, a taboo is imposed on the export to the specified country of a car with an engine capacity of more than 1.9 liters.
In addition, it is forbidden to send cars equipped with hybrid engines to neighbors.
And the Japanese authorities have also imposed a ban on the export of truck tires to the Russian Federation, TASS reports with reference to a statement by the head of the local Ministry of Economy, Yasutoshi Nishimura.
According to him, these restrictive measures will come into force on August 9.
The official also informed that Tokyo, cooperating with the international community and the G7 countries, will continue to do everything to ensure that the sanctions imposed against Moscow are respected.
In total, about 750 items appear in the new package of Japanese sanctions, mainly those goods that have already been subject to restrictions.
In particular, yachts, car seats and locks, truck tires, etc. are mentioned.
In addition, the list includes some ceramic, paper and glass products, asphalt, cement, textile products, used clothing.
The ban also applies to wool, cotton, paint and varnish products, materials for shooting photos and videos, and some other goods.
