The Ukrainian side will not be able to use F-16 fighters during a possible counteroffensive in the summer.
Oleksiy Reznikov, head of the Ukrainian defense department, announced this in an interview with NHK journalists.
So, he acknowledged that in the coming summer, these fighters will not be able to change the situation.
It is also emphasized that a number of Western states train Ukrainian pilots to fly these aircraft.
However, he, as indicated in the material, noted that this preparation will take time.
In addition, he drew attention to the fact that in this case it is also necessary to involve technicians and engineers who will carry out repairs and maintenance of this equipment.
At the same time, he informed that the Ukrainian side would be ready to deploy these fighters in autumn or winter.
In addition, the head of the department said that Ukraine intends to use “all ground equipment” during the counteroffensive.
